Powering Rural Employment: AP Greenlights Rs 630 Cr Agri-Projects

The Andhra Pradesh government has cleared two private investments totaling Rs 630.71 crore under the AP Food Processing Policy 4.0 (2024–29), backed by Rs 248.37 crore in tailored incentives. Set to create over 1,800 jobs in rural areas, the projects include a 60-acre integrated maize processing plant in Kurnool by Jayadithya Agro (daily capacity of 450 tonnes of starch and derivatives) and a multi-phase venture in SPSR Nellore by Prisoul Agro Industries, with Phase-I operations launching in September 2027.
